Product Design + Fundraising = Good Things

One of the many reasons I love being a product designer is for the relationships I make with like-minded designers, artists and store front owners.

On a local level, I have been able to go to these people in the past for donations to various school or other fundraising events.  They are able to showcase their talents while also giving back to their community.  It is always amazing to me to see such a wide variety of talents showcased from one small community at these type of functions.

This afternoon, I dropped off a few Steel Life items for a local breast cancer fundraiser called Rhythm & Boobs (catchy, huh?).  I was happy to donate items because the cause is close to my heart and the person that asked me has always been so generous in donating her beautiful products to me in the past.

Giving back to the community can be done in so many ways and each of us have causes that we are truly passionate about.  It is great to know that we have support from the local community and friends to help raise money for those causes.

Here are a few local businesses that have been extremely generous to my causes in the past:

Maya Moon Designs
Ija Designs
The Workhouse
Red Tank Cider
Shonna L. Clark Design
The Honest Kitchen
